Vol. 40 No. 1 (2026): Lexical Availability: New Methodologies for 21st Century Challenges

The scientific discipline of Lexical Availability (LA) has undergone remarkable development within the Hispanic context during the more than half a century it has been associated with the Spanish language. Scholarly production in this field has not only reached a significant volume but it is also distinguished by the relevance its theoretical and methodological contributions. The works gathered in this monograph are a prime example of this maturity and coherence, as well as the diverse lines of enquiry that have developed within it. In addition to the studies on the Spanish language (and Spanish as a foreign language), the monograph incorporates insights linked to the burgeoning scientific area of lexical availability in Portuguese. This issue of the journal also includes contributions from the “Vária” and “Recensões” sections.
