Abstract

This article explores how Spanish contemporary literature integrates television as referent through the analysis of Javier Calvo´'s “Arco iris de levedad”. The study of formal and thematic links between this short story and TV facilitates the analysis of intermediality. Calvo´'s “Arco iris de levedad” is especially relevant for it focuses on reality shows, a television genre based on morbid curiosity and sensationalism which is traditionally detached from literature.
