Abstract

The objective of this article is to discuss how the poetic work of Adília Lopes uses irony and the questioning between the real and the fictional as self-representation strategies, based on the literary staging of an autobiography marked by an ironic, critical and subversive language. Using authors such as Linda Hutcheon (1985) and Flora Süssekind (2002) as a theoretical basis, a bibliographical research was carried out through which different poems by the author are analyzed with the aim of highlighting how the self-representation procedures used tend to forge an autobiographical illusion marking her enunciative self with the same characteristics as the real self, namely, the fact of being a woman, poet, Portuguese, single, religious, as a form of affirmation of the self as being of the female gender and renewing the artifice of the self-portrait by through irony and questioning between the real and the fictional.
