Abstract

This article aims to demonstrate how society, faced with the harmful effects of intense urbanization,  to return to green spaces as an exercise in presence and vitality. The excerpt presented here focuses on the humanized training of health professionals in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, through their narratives and experiences. In this context, several self-care practices have been offered to those who courageously remain in vertical urban clusters, as a way of mitigating chronic stress and anxiety attacks caused by urban dynamics. Among these complementary practices, guided immersions in Municipal Public Parks, known as Forest Bathing through Nature Connection Activities, stand out. These experiences, carried out in three cities in the state between 2023 and 2025, have provided participants with an opportunity to reconnect with the natural environment and understand that bodies – human and nature – belong to the same ecosystem that strengthens the essential ties between human and environmental health. There is evidence that self-regulation occurs in the balance of well-being and self-care in an integrative approach by health professionals, impacting the improvement of Planetary Health.
