Volume 40.2 of Diacrítica brings together eighteen articles included in the thematic dossier The Humanities and Digital Transformation: Opportunities, Dialogues and Challenges, as well as five articles in the Varia section. The proposal for this thematic dossier emerged following the 2nd International Congress on the Humanities at UAb, held in June 2025 at Universidade Aberta, which sought to bring together research addressing three fundamental questions: a) Will digital transformation allow for a reinvention of the articulation of art, culture, science and technology?; b) What interactions can be established between the Humanities and digital transformation?; c) What is the long-term impact of digital transformation on the teaching-learning processes within the Humanities? This introduction presents not only the articles included in the thematic dossier, comprising both papers presented at the aforementioned congress and other research contributions, but also those published in the Varia section.
