It is known that there is an increasing number of sophisticated digital resources and the consequent difficulty in handling them appropriately in class. Thus, the article suggests effective working methodologies and strategies to make the best use of them without any fading. The digital resources collaborate with the didactics of the language to increase the active and passive lexicon and to promote the oral and written communication and the self-confidence of their users. Their integration into everyday school life is the acknowledgment of their present importance and the acceptance that without them there is a significant impoverishment in the success of students. Based on the theoretical-practical theses Carvalho & Moura (2006, 2007, 2008), Marzano (2006), Petty (2014a, 2014b), Hattie (2012), Hattie & Yates (2014), Calvani (2012, 2017a, 2017b) and Lewis (1997, 2012), among others, the text examines the multiple ways in which teachers can interpret and incorporate the research done in this field in the most varied contexts of Portuguese teaching. The three parts of the communication draws attention to an evidence-based methodology, that is, effective evidence of work that can be applied in any school environment. It is expected that it will be a contribution to the teaching practice of any level of education, an opportunity for reflection and also a moment of didactic encouragement.
