Logistics and the Modernisation of Territories in globalization. Route of the Cruls Mission (Brazil) and Nord and Pas-de-Calais (France)

This research aims to contribute to the understanding of contemporary territorial dynamics and their implications, as well as the relationships established between different regions or geographical contexts in the globalized world. To achieve this, it is essential to analyze geostrategies and the manner in which they are articulated to serve the interests of major global corporations and the territorial projects of the nations involved. The two geographical contexts examined present markedly different infrastructural configurations, yet the dynamics of logistics activities render them intermediate or interconnected regions within their respective national territories. Specifically, this article first addresses the Cruls Mission route in the central region of Brazil, encompassing medium-sized urban centers such as Goiânia, Uberlândia, Uberaba, and the nation's capital, Brasília. Secondly, it investigates the Nord and Pas-de-Calais areas within the French region of Hauts-de-France, where cities such as Lille and Valenciennes serve as intermediate urban centers for France. In both geographical contexts, logistics activities are closely tied to the development and construction of infrastructure and road networks that define the territorial projects of their respective countries.
