SPECIAL EDITION ISSUE: THE EFFECTS OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the European Union is facing unprecedented challenges ranging from possibly the worst economic crisis since its inception to a breakdown of European solidarity and fundamental rights. To join the discussion and provide a forum for scholarly debate, UNIO - EU Law Journal is preparing a special issue of the journal dedicated to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the European Union.

This special issue will consist of the second number of 2020 and will be launched in the second semester.

UNIO – EU Law Journal is an open access online peer-reviewed journal with a blind review system. It falls within the scope of the Jean Monnet Chair entitled “Citizenship of rights: European citizenship as the fundamental status of nationals of the Member States” and it is scientifically supported by JusGov-CEDU - Studies in European Union Law (www.cedu.direito.uminho.pt), University of Minho, Portugal.

UNIO aims at publishing manuscripts which have a significantly advanced understanding of European Union law and enhance the production of knowledge in this area.
