Revisão do conceito de estratégia no processo de aquisição de uma segunda língua à luz de novas investigações

Resumo

Neste artigo, são postos em destaque os esforços realizados na área da aquisição de segundas línguas para descrever os mecanismos psicolinguísticos que são implementados pelo aprendente de línguas durante a aprendizagem. Esses mecanismos, identificados inicialmente como estratégias, foram objeto de estudo por vários investigadores devido à importância que a competência estratégica representa no desenvolvimento da competência comunicativa do estudante. Em coerência com o anterior, desde uma perspetiva diacrónica, descreve-se como se foi conformando a noção de estratégia, as diferentes tipologias e a sua importância no contexto de uma pedagogia para a autonomia, em que o desenvolvimento da autorregulação resulta essencial no processo de aprendizagem duma segunda língua.
