Abstract

With the aim of analyzing the applicability of Non-Violent Communication (NVC) as a tool for promoting the pacification of the parties involved in family conflicts, this article drew on theoretical and bibliographical research, using a comprehensive approach to conflict from a perspective systemic. The high litigiousness experienced today, as well as the apparent inability of the judiciary to promote social peace, denote that litigation needs special and systemic attention, which does not neglect its complexity, subjectivity, and instability. As a result, it was found that the NVC is not a tool, nor a technique, but the basis of mediation as a form of intervention in family conflict.
