Call for papers

Special issue

Researching children's worlds and lived realities in uncertain times

The joint team of editors from Minho University (Portugal) and the University of Suffolk (UK) are delighted to announce the call for papers for a Special Issue of the Child Studies journal. Building on a successful legacy of the 1st International Conference on Child Studies 2022, hosted by the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, we are inviting papers that theoretically and empirically engage with a broad range of disciplines. We seek papers from contributors reflecting the diverse nature of contemporary childhood studies. In addition, we are also welcoming written contributions of invited keynote speakers with short briefings to highlight the dialogic atmosphere of the Braga conference.

All Conference participants are invited to submit a paper. Papers for this Special Issue are accepted in the English language and limited to a word count of 5000 to 6000 words.

If you are interested in publishing with us, please submit us a complete article by Sunday, the 15th of January 2023.
