Abstract

This article aims to describe and reflect on the main characteristics of gender equality plans in Higher Education Institutions in Portugal. By analysing the information available in the public domain on the gender equality plans of Portuguese higher education institutions, we identify some relevant indicators that allow us to consider the transformative potential of these institutional policy instruments, as well as the need to rethink some critical points regarding the existence and extent of diagnoses and the involvement and participation of different audiences.
