Special issue – Portuguese language in China: teaching, literature, culture, and translation

Based on the significant results of the VI International Forum on Teaching and Studies in Portuguese Language in China, which took place in July 2024, at Nankai University, China, we invite researchers who attended the aforementioned event to contribute to the Special Issue (39.3) of Diacritic Journal, whose theme is Portuguese language in China: teaching, literature, culture, and translation.
In this issue, we aim to value, encourage, and support current investigations. Therefore, we intend to bring together authors from different locations around the world, their contributions, as well as completed or ongoing research on the several topics addressed in this call, which are listed below, emphasizing that they all refer to the relations between Portuguese language and China (or in China):
- Portuguese language teaching;
- Portuguese linguistics (theoretical or applied);
- Literature in Portuguese language and/or literary studies;
- Translation studies;
- Cultural studies (material or immaterial culture);
- Studies of Portuguese-speaking countries and regions.
