This study aims to make visible the design process of an extension course at the University of Brasilia, centered in continuing education of public school teachers in the Federal District. The course was focused on the strategy of workshop classes designed to solving problems and was interrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the consequent social isolation and suspension of classes. The demand for the creation of new strategies that involves virtual meetings, mutual support strategies and online research in documentary collections produced a fruitful experience that included new themes and subjects in the history of the Federal District, providing a non-hegemonic historical approach.
