Abstract

The present work reflects about reflects on the intermedial narrative as it was conceived and practiced by surrealist artists, starting from the analysis of two works by the poet and Multiple Task artist Mário-Henrique Leiria – namely Pas Pour les Parents and Conto de Natal para Crianças. From the observation of the main topics that characterise this object of study, in the framework of the experimental artistic practices of this period that cross poetry with photography and collage, this study presents itself essentially as a metacritical commentary around a set of tools and concepts that are essential to ponder on ways of dealing with the porosities between the arts, in order to highlight the important side of the intermedial approach: the attempt to respond to experiences and ideas of poetry, literature and art that dilute borders, and from which we welcome new ways of working not only the literary, but different arts.
