About the translation of Chinese aspectual particle GUO into Portuguese based on a Chinese-Portuguese parallel corpus

Theresearchwork,whichwepresenthere,seekstoanalysetheconversionoptionsoftheChineseaspectualparticleguointoPortuguese.InChinese,theaspectualparticleguoappearsafterverbs,expressingtheactionsinthepastandindicatingtheexperientialaspect.AsinPortuguesethereisnosuchwordcategory,thefunctionsperformedbythisChineseaspectualparticle,duringthetranslation,aretransmittedinPortuguesethroughdifferentsyntacticandlexicalresources.ToverifytheconversionoptionsofthisaspectualparticleintoPortuguese,weusedaparallelcorpusconsistingofChineseandPortuguesetexts,withChinesebeingthesourcelanguageandPortuguesethetargetlanguage.Byanalysingtheresultsfoundinthecorpusinrelationtotheuseoftheaspectualparticleguo,wesoughttodiscussthepossibleconversionorientationsofthisaspectualparticleintoPortugueseand,inthisway,wehopetohelptranslatorstounderstandandtomasterthesepossibleconversions.
